While you are in Carmel and Monterey, we suggest exploring the area. We have listed a few of our favorite activities and restaurants. We hope you enjoy your stay.

Things to do

Hike Point Lobos

This is one our favorite things to do. It’s more of a ‘nature walk’ than a hike per se, but it gives you gorgeous views of the picturesque coast and is only a 20 minute drive! Get there early (before 10am) if you plan to do this Saturday. Would highly recommend rewarding yourself afterwards with an Ambrosia Burger at Nepenthe (see below) for all your hard work nature walking!

Walk through downtown Carmel and Beach

Adorably cute ‘downtown’ Carmel-By-The-Sea is fun to wander and visit shops. Add a stroll on the beach at the end of Ocean Avenue and stop in the Doris Day-owned Cypress Inn for a drink to see where all the local dogs hang (it’s their favorite bar).

go wine tasting in carmel valley

It's not quite Napa, but who doesn't love a good day of wine tasting?

drive down to big sur

You can tie this iconic drive down the Big Sur coast to see the Bixby Bridge, into a visit to Nepenthe (see below)!

Explore Cannery Row

Monterey's version of the San Francisco pier!

Visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium

Monterey's aquarium is world renowned - a great kid-friendly activity!

Our FAVORITE restaurant in the area. Enjoy amazing view while you enjoy an Ambrosia Burger or play ping pong! Go for lunch one day if you can.

Cute little bistro, stop in for a bite!

Owned by Clint Eastwood, this spot is great for a drink at sunset, with a beautiful view over the bay. Turns into a piano bar at night (though don’t get your hopes up for good singers…)!

Great Italian food in an adorable house.

More great Italian in an adorable house - it’s a theme!

Looking for a good breakfast? Look no further!

Guests are encouraged to take advantage of world-class golfing. There are a number of Golf courses IN THE AREA AND We ARE HAPPY TO make suggestions if you are interested.
